AutoCamp zion
At AutoCamp Zion, guests move from intimate entryways into public spaces that offer vast views of the surrounding mountain range. Sloping rooflines, inspired by classic mid-century architecture, reach out to the landscape. A palette of earthy plaster, bronze and wood feels warm and welcoming while blending seamlessly with the local environment. Emphasis on a tactile approach to materials is evident, with organic elements balancing the more streamlined architecture.
A variety of materials and textures add interest to the neutral palette. Cork, a sustainable material, was used throughout the spaces on both walls and furniture. Outdoor pavers were used to clad the large L-shaped bar, creating a subtle ombre effect reminiscent of rammed earth. Local fabricators built the millwork, custom doors and a large percentage of the furniture, contributing to a smaller footprint and further underpinning the AutoCamp ethos.
